Course Details

Local Public Agency Qualification Program

The LPA Qualification Program was developed and implemented jointly by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) and the Louisiana Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP). The primary goal of the program is to increase the efficiency of project delivery for local transportation projects that utilize state and federal funds by helping local agency personnel understand and implement requirements associated with these programs.

Construction Contract Administration for Local Public Agency Administered Federal Aid Transportation Projects.

This class presents DOTD expectations of performing Construction, Engineering, and Inspection for your project. This class is intended for LPA Construction Project Personnel, engineers who serve as the LPA Project Engineer (PE), and the Responsible Charge.

This class is now a required certification for the consultant CE&I Project Engineer performing CE&I services, regardless of whether or not it is a LPA project.

Registration is required at least one week in advance of class. Failure to cancel at least 72 hours prior will result in a forfeit of the registration fee. Participant substitution is available.

Professional Development Hours (PDHs)

Professional Development Hour (PDH) credit will be awarded as follows: seven (7) PDHs for LPA CE&I. LTRC is a Louisiana State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, approved Sponsor/Provider of Continuing Professional Development.
